Fun in the sun is the name of the game this Summer! 😎☀️ Stay cool and catch some fresh air at any of the JBLM area’s many splash parks and outdoor pools! The BaseHubs team has put together a quick list to get you started on your splish-splashing adventures! Grab some sunscreen and snacks and let’s get movin’!

💧 JBLM Splash Park: For those of you looking to stay close to home, this splash park is located at 41st Division Dr, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA 98433, right on base! Open 10am-8pm Saturdays and Sundays. This spash park is FREE!

💧 McChord Outdoor Pool: Located at 736 5th St, McChord AFB, this outdoor pool is also right on base and a great option to cool off. With lifeguards on duty, this pool is a great option for kids of all ages (under parental supervision of course)as well as adults looking to escape the heat! Lounge chairs are available to work on your base tan (or burn, like we stated already, don’t forget the sunscreen!) Open Saturdays and Sundays 11am-6pm. This pool is FREE!

💧 Wright Park Sprayground: Located in Wright Park in Tacoma, this “Sprayground” is officially open for the Summer! Wright Park also boasts a pond, playground, plenty of walking trails, and a super cool greenhouse to check out, so make sure to plan for a full day out! Open 7 days a week, 10am-8pm. This sprayground is FREE!

💧 Jefferson Spray Park: Another Sprayground for those looking to spend the day in Tacoma! This splash pad has plenty of benches and shade nearby, and is a huge hit with the younger kiddos. Huge grassy fields and a dog park are also available at this park. Open 7 days a week, 10am-8pm. This sprayground is FREE!

💧 Kandle Park: Tacoma’s wave pool: Spraygrounds just not cutting it? Looking to make a splash? Time to check out Kandle Pool in Tacoma! This pool is great for a relaxing day by the water. There is plenty of room to set up and catch some sun. There are lifeguards on duty. There is a section for little kiddos and a wave pool! Make sure to show up early if you want a good spot as this pool fills up fast!Open Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays 12:30–2:30 PM, 3–5 PM. Admission fees are Children 4 and under: FREE, ages 5-17: $6, ages 18+: $8
